Introduction: The workshop consists of getting a group of any number of people together and using a pre designed, workshop designed pattern or picture created by the group. To create a shared art work using small tiles or ceramics of different colours. |
Creative space
The design can be made on the floor, wall or any strong flat surface which makes it ideal for the decoration of the building or office space and through repeating the workshop with other groups an even bigger picture can be created when putting or linking the art works together.
The logo of the company or department can also be incorporated into the design adding symbolic value and meaning to colours and symbols.
Once the design has been completed the tiles are then stuck down with pre mixed tile glue unto the surface; there is minimum cutting of tiles (which will be demonstrated by the facilitators). The facilitator can guide the groups in matters of composition, color, form or whenever it is needed.

Everybody will have a turn in gluing down tiles until the work is finished, unity through creation. |
Additional objects can also be covered with mosaic such as an old BMW car, computers or any object associated with the company.
Conclusion
This workshop gives the participants time to associate with others in a non-working environment, make important decisions together, sharing in decisions, create something aesthetically pleasing and have a strong reminder of the day of fun and learning.
